Surdas Jayanti

The event day that has great importance from the poet Surdas’ birthday point of view is called Surdas Jayanti. The Surdas was the great poet of the Hindus and wrote much more about the daily issues of Indians. There were unlimited songs that he wrote. All of those songs were dedicated to Krishna. According to his concept, Krishna is our top God, and we must obey him and all the rules he gave. Surdas was blind in the eyes when he was born. The blind concept about the Surdas is that he strongly believes in the top God named Krishna. The other God, which he felt strongly about, is Vishnu. 

Cause of the celebration of Surdas Jayanti

As you know, the God, followed by the Surdas, was Krishna. All the works and doings in his life were dedicated to Krishna by him because he genuinely loves the Krishna God. Krishna is a Top God, and due to his priority to the Krishna God, all the people also respect him as Guru and follow all his lessons. He wrote a few lines. At the end of their life, he dedicated all the written lines to Krishna. He offered songs to Krishna that were based on religious points. The poetry lines he wrote were also about the religion of Hindus, and to appreciate the poetry and the song lines he wrote, Surdas Jayanti is presented to him.

Celebrations on Surdas Jayanti

The areas where this Jayanti is celebrated are joined to the northern regions of india. All the nations living in the Northern areas present this day to the Surdas in his temple. Unlimited prayers are also offered to Krishna on this day by the followers of Surdas. The fasts provided at this event are also dedicated to the Surdas, but only some offer fast to the Krishna. There are grand music parties at this event where the singer sings the songs he wrote.
