Surya Grahan *Valayakara 14 October

Kartik Amavasya is the name used in place of Surya Grahan *Valayakara. It is a type of solar Eclipse. The movement of the moon is affected on this day. The moon comes in between the earth and the light rays of the sun so that the rays of the sun are blacked, and a black type shade is made on the sky that is named the solar Eclipse and in the language that the Indians use is called as Surya Grahan *Valayakara. In the different cities of India, it occurs at the other time, but the day of occurrence is the same. The phenomenon of the Surya Grahan *Valayakara in India mainly happened at the start of the new lunar Month. The moon is in the whole shine, and after a few minutes, it comes between the earth and the sun, that causes to block the rays of the sun. Proper instruction has to follow on this day, and the ceremonial rituals are also offered on Surya Grahan *Valayakara.

Acts performed on Surya Grahan *Valayakara 

• Go to the Holy rivers as soon as possible as a bath at the holy rivers is necessary. If you do not go there early, there will be a great gathering of people, and you will not get a relaxing place to bathe. The rivers that are mentioned as holy rivers are Ganga and the Yamuna on Surya Grahan *Valayakara.
• The food you want to take on this day must be prepared one day before the event. As the event will be starting, you cannot take any food. If you want to take the food, take it before the start of the Eclipse. The Tulsi Patra leaves are also added to the bowl and brought before the event. These leaves clear the souls, and the body feels fresh. 
• As the Surya Grahan *Valayakara ended, you must clear your homes. After cleaning the houses, sprinkle a little quantity of the Gangajaal in the home. If you have a limited amount of the Gangajaal, spread it in the corners of the house, especially the room’s corners. It is suitable for homes as it is the order of Vishnu. 
• The bath must be taken as the duration of Surya Grahan *Valayakara ends. This will finish all the negativities that surround your mind, and all the sins will be cleared on this day. The evils that the bath-taking person has made during the Surya Grahan *Valayakara will not be removed till the following year, and there is the significant disadvantage of these sins as they are not suitable for the coming days after the event and Lord Vishnu also feel unhappy due to the wrong acts of the sins committing person.
