Vaishakha Purnima

Works on Vaishakha Purnima

There are specific works that are performed during the Vaishakha Purnima event. Bathing is the main activity performed in the main Holy river named Ganga by the lovers of Vishnu. People gathered at the Ganga edge, taking a collective dip by reciting the Vishnu Manter. The Hindus thought that when they repeated the Vishnu Manter, the Vishnu arrived and saw who was dipping by heart. One bathing by nature is offered with few powers of Vishnu by Vishnu Lord. All the people taking a bath there have to recite Katha, appropriately named Satyanarayan Katha according to a few Hindus. Other activities that are also performed on this day are called Yajna activities. Foods are also offered on this day with great devotion and love. The food items that are shown are Kheer and Tulsi. In addition, Vaishakha Purnima is also considered a marriage day, as particular couples get married on Vaishakha Purnima.
