Vaishnava Mokshada Ekadashi

Vaishnava on which Ekadashi fast is presented to Shiva is called Vaishnava Mokshada Ekadashi. According to the Vaishnava calendar, it is an important festival and is most celebrated by Vishnu followers. It was the day when Bhagavad Gita was taken from Krishna, and Krishna also recited it. It is celebrated with various names in various cities in India. In Orisa it is called Gita Jayanti.
Importance related to Vaishnava Mokshada Ekadashi
Vishnu Purana describes the features of this Mokshada. This is the day fasting people are blessed with a place in Vishnu’s home, according to Vishnu Purana. Most fasting people present fast to Vishnu other than Vishnu; it is also presented to Yudhishthira, the holy king of Hindus. Sins of all Vaishnava worshippers are also removed due to the effect of Vaishnava Vrat and prayers.
Routine works on Vaishnava Mokshada Ekadashi
- On this Mokshada Ekadashi, worshippers go to Ganga to take a bath. While offering fast, various fruits are used along with dairy products. A few items like onion and rice cannot be used white fast time. Pulses of various kinds are also prohibited; one who will not present fast to God cannot eat a few food products like beans.
- Shri Krishna decorated idols are also worshipped in Krishna temple after the Puja act related to Vishnu idols. The walls of the temple and Krishna idols are decorated with Krishna art, and all Hindu community members are invited. Puja to Vishnu is presented by holding a Puja bowl and incense sticks. After all, festival acts, the Vaishnava Charity activity is performed in the Krishna temple.
