Vakratunda Sankashta Chaturthi

Vakratunda Sankashta Chaturthi is the Chaturhti day celebrated after the celebrations of the Purnima event. Paksha related to it is called Krishna Paksha, and the month of celebration is called Kartik according to the calendar of Hindus. As the sun rises on this day, celebrations related to it will be started, and after the sun sets and the moon rises, it will be concluded. Ganesha is worshipped in various forms on this Chaturthi.

Worships like Puja, fast, and prayers are presented to Ganesha on this Chaturthi. Offering fast to Ganesha removes all the hurdles from worshipper life. As a reward for the Ganesha’s worship, issues in common are solved. Prayers are offered to Ganesha for Ganesha’s blessings. This day is named Ganesha Chaturthi due to Ganesha’s worship. Ganesha worshippers receive health and wealth blessings from Ganesha as a reward for prayers and fasting rituals.  

Vakratunda Vrat Vidhi act on Vakratunda Sankashta Chaturthi

Fast is the essential and strict ritual of this event, and to offer it, the fasting person has to take a bath in Ganga to get holy. After the bath, prayers are presented to him till the end of Vrat. Ganesh Katha will be recited as the fast will be concluded, and Ganesha will be worshipped. Various items like flowers, flower-made garlands, yellow clothes, and Durva grass will be given to his idol as an offering item before Puja. Ganesha idols are decorated especially with Durva grass on this Chaturthi.
