Varad Lakshmi Vrat is Vrat offered in honor of Lakshmi. This Vrat day is celebrated with great devotion in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. In 2022, it came on the 5th of August. Lakshmi is worshipped, and various prayers are presented to her idols. Parwati is also worshipped after the worship of Lakshmi. Lakshmi’s idols are decorated with light clothes, and Holi colors are applied to her.

Varad Lakshmi Vrat (Ritual acts)
Worshippers get up as the sun rises and bathe Lakshmi in her temple or at Ganga. Wooden Plank is taken and washed with the holy water of Ganga. After cleaning the wooden Plank with holy Ganga water, the goddess idol will be placed on it. Fruits with other items like silver coins will be placed near the Goddess on a wooden plank. Lakshmi will be decorated with various things like jewelry and fresh flowers. Katha named Vratham Katha will be recited in the temple to honor the Goddess while offering Laxmi Puja to her. On the face of a goddess, Kumkum will be applied, and to get blessings from the Goddess, Prasad will be distributed among women as they will conclude Laxmi fast with it.
