Vibhuvana Sankashta Chaturthi is the Hindu event celebrated in the Adhika according to the calendar of Hindus. The Ganesha and various idol forms are worshipped, AND Puja named Peetha is offered to them in multiple formats. Ganpati idols of Ganesha are the most worshipped Ganesha idol on this Chaturthi. In 2020, it was celebrated on the 5th of October in the South temples of India in Ganesha’s honour.
About Vibhuvana Sankashta Chaturthi
- Puja is present on this day to the Ganpati avatar idols of Ganesha, called Ganpati Puja Vithi.
- Ganpati Peetha is called Patra Peetha, dedicated to Ganpati on this day after Ganpati bathing.
- Ganesha is the most superior God of all gods like Shiva, Lakshmi, Parawti and Vishnu due to his more blessings than all other gods.
- Ganesha and Shiva, worshippers of this Chaturthi, are blessed with prosperity, and the mean of Ganpati worship also removes all the hurdles from their lives.
- Durga Ashtami and Shukla Paksha are celebrated till the end of Vibhuvana, and after this, a new event for Hindus is started.
Vrat Katha and devotional songs recitation on Vibhuvana Sankashta Chaturthi
The songs are recited on Chaturthi day after performing the Vrat Katha activity. The Vrat Katha activity is arranged after breaking fast, and Vrat is repeated in honour of God. as the Vrat Katha ceremony ends, the songs of Shiva are played on the speakers for the Shiva blessings. The purpose of worshipping Shiva and reciting Shiva Manters is to get Shiva’s benefits, as Shiva was the father of Ganesha and various avatars of Ganesha.
