Vidyarambham Day

Vidyarambham Day is the old traditional day celebrated by Hindu children all over india; on this festival, children write letters and draw symbols on the rice on the rice plate. The logo written by them is OM, and it is considered a primary activity of this day. This ceremony is mainly celebrated at the temples, but primarily people arrange it at home. This ceremony is called the Vidyarambham ceremony, and children of 5 or 4 years of age participate. 

The importance of Vidyarambham Day

This day has tremendous importance for all Hindus, and all Hindu children come to the temple to celebrate this festival day. According to the Hindus, it is the day a child starts his career in the field of learning. This event is considered necessary for the worship of Gods. The most worshipped gods on this day are Vishnu and Ganesha. 

Rituals performed on Vidyarambham Day.

• Children celebrators must get up before sunrise and wear clothes according to their customs. 
• In the presence of Guru, children will write various letters and draw the symbol OM on cooked rice on a rice plate. 
• The Guru must write Mantra with Gold on the child’s tongue who has drawn the OM symbol on rice; otherwise, it will not be counted in the festival activity.
• In the charity activity, various stationery-related items will be donated to the other celebrator children. This donation activity will be done by that child who has performed all the activities related to Vidyarambham Day.
