Vikata Sankashti Chaturthi

Vikata Sankashti Chaturthi is the Sankashti day celebrated for Ganesha worship. As the name shows, it is a Chaturthi day. Where there will be the Chaturhti day, Ganesha will be worshipped. Ganesha is the God who frees all worshippers from the harm of life. The obstacles are removed, and Ganesha worshippers receive Ganesha blessings from him. In 2023, it was celebrated on the 9th of April. 

Vikata Sankashti Chaturthi (Significance) 

Vikata Sankashti Chaturthi is the most celebrated festival of Hindus, and all Hindus celebrate it by heart due to its great role in their lives. Ganesha’s worship removes all the hurdles from life, and life becomes easy due to his worship. In addition, this day is considered best for Ganesha’s prosperity and to get Ganesha’s life from him free of hurdles and crashes. By offering fast and Prayers to Gods, the offering person is blessed with power like the powers of avatars of Ganesha. 

Vikata Sankashti Chaturthi (Rituals)

For fasting and prayers, the offering person has to take a bath at Ganga and move to the temple to offer Puja to him. The idols are decorated with flowers by women who take the decorated idols to the temple. Laddo and Satvik food is cooked, and the incense sticks are presented to Ganesha. People light up the idols before starting worship. The idols are lighted with Desi Ghee, and the fragrance is added. While offering Puja, Manters are recited, and Ashirwaat is presented to Ganesha.
