Vinayagar Chathurthi is an event of the Tamil Hindus on which Ganesh is worshipped. Ganesh is the top God and has power equal to Vishnu. According to the Tamilian religious people, if any Hindu offers Prayer to the Ganesh on this event, he will be blessed with the Ganesh wisdom, and the other who presents a Fast to the Ganesh on event day will get success from God. in 2023, it will be celebrated 19th of September. Celebrations on Vinayagar Chathurthi

For worshipping the Ganesh, the idols of the Ganesh are taken in the temples. The women take the Ganesh temples in the home to worship him. These are well decorated with flowers and garlands. Women cook Ganesh food to present to him during the Puja activity. Women use ornaments of various kinds for their decoration. Dresses of various designs are worn to the Ganesh temple to make it beautiful. People dance in the temple to enjoy the event celebrations. Books written on the Ganesh are recited on this day as part of the ritual. To make the festival more interesting, people arrange the ceremonies of the fireworks at night in which the fireworks are done at night.
