Vinayaki Chaturthi

Vinayaki Chaturthi is the most important Chaturthi among all the Chaturthis of Hindus. On this day, Ganesha and various Ganesha avatar forms are brought to the temple, and Ganesha prayers are presented to them. According to the calendar of Hindus, this day is arranged in Shravan, and Fast is offered to the Ganesha avatar for success and salvation. Puja is performed in Ganesha temples, and the Puja of this festival is called Vinayaka Puja. 

The importance of Vinayaki Chaturthi 

Puja is the main Ritual activity, so ‘Ganesha,’ due to his Puja, is called Pratham Pujya. Ganesha is worshipped at the first number, and due to his prayer, various issues occurring in life are solved, and Ganesha blesses worshippers along with all their family members. A few older people call Ganesha ‘Vighnaharta’ and present fast to him in his honor and to make him happy. 

Routine acts on Vinayaki Chaturthi

• Wear a new and neat dress after bathing in the holy river and move to the nearby Ganesh temple.
• Offer Puja to him by lighting Diya and presenting flowers to Ganesha idols as the essential activity of the day. 
• Ganesha mostly liked Durva. For this reason, it is presented to Ganesha as his favorite food. 
• While presenting Puja, recite Ganesha Mantra in the temple, and Ganesha Katha is repeated after the recitation of the Mantra. 
• Moon is also worshipped on this Chatuthi after all Ganesha worships. The moon worshipping ceremony is arranged on the night of the gala. 
• Fast will conclude with the Satvik meal items, including fried and milk-made products.
