Vishu

The festival enjoyed by the Kerala people in Tamil Nadu is called Vishu. There is a month in the Malayalam calendar named Medam, and this event is also arranged in Medam month. The main purpose of celebrating the event is to inform people to harvest the crops as the spring season has arrived. It is also called a good luck event with unlimited best luck. In 2023, it will be arranged for the 15th of April.

Vishu Kani

According to the event celebrators, the Kani is made on this event, and it is the symbol of the Vishnu God. Various items decorate the Vishnu avatar, like coins and currency notes. Few people use Golden Cucumber while avatar decoration.

Burst Cracker

The small children perform the burst crackers activity. For this activity, the children from all Tamil societies gathered in one place. Each child brought sweets with him, and after eating the sweets, they arranged this activity.

Krishna Worshipping

Krishna, along with Vishnu, is worshipped on the event day. All the people gathered in one place and went to the Krishna temple together. The Idos of the Vishnu are also placed in the temple one day before the event, and Krishna-Vishnu Puja is presented there. 

Vishu rewards

First of all, the crops are harvested on festival day. Besides crop harvesting, the Vishnu and Krishna Puja are also shown in their Manders. The Vishnu and Krishna bless worshipping with infinite prosperity and their relative powers as a reward for their worship.
