Yamuna Chhath

Yamuna Chhath is the only festival in Hinduism that is celebrated in honour of Yamuna. The Yamuna is the Goddess of Hindus. There is by heart Poja that is offered to Yamuna on the day of Yamuna Chhath. This festival is celebrated in Madhura, which is a town in India. On Yamuna Chhath festival day, there is a grand celebration in honour of the birthday of the Top Idol God, Yamuna. Some Hindus believe that, on the day of Yamuna Chhath, their Idol God Yamuna was born, and they feel that celebrating its birthday is necessary for them; otherwise, they will not be blessed. In addition, it is observed in respect of Yamuna, which is named a holy river according to young Hindus. The ancient Hindus also believe that the Yamuna is their Holy river. As all the sinner’s sins are apparent, grand celebrations are arranged in honour of it on Yamuna Chhath day. 

Celebrations on Yamuna Chhath 

The people from some areas of India celebrate Yamuna Chhath with excellent arrangements. The people who believe in Yamuna Chhath day gather at the edge of Yamuna, where there is a superb bath taken by the people gathered at the river edge. The dipper believes that all its sins are cleared if it makes only one dip in the Yamuna river. In addition to this, unlimited enjoy also availed by it the Yamuna. It is considered that Yamuna was the best friend of Krishna. One who cannot get the blessing of Krishna follows the Yamuna to get the unlimited gift of Krishna as she is the best friend of Krishna. In addition to this, the fasts are also offered on Yamuna Chhath day. The fasting person will have to follow all of Yamuna’s instructions about fasting. No lunch will be eaten during the hours of the fast. This activity makes the fasting person strong so that they can do more and more Puja Yamuna.
