Yogeshwara Dwadashi

Yogeshwara Dwadashi is a festival day for Hindus, which is also called Chiluka Dwadasi. It is also celebrated in the holy month named Karthik. Vishnu awake on the night of this event due to the effect of worship. This day is considered essential for getting Vishnu blessings. As Vishnu awakes, he blesses his worshippers with happiness and infinite health. Ancestors of Yogeshwara day worshippers are also blessed. 

The importance of Yogeshwara Dwadashi

This festival is vital to worship Tulsi plants. Other than the Tulsi plant, Goseberrry plants are also decorated and worshipped on this day. Temples are decorated in which Puja is presented to Vishnu after Tulsi Worships. Idols of Vishnu are well decorated, and the Arts of Vishnu are shown on them. The Worshipper of Tulsi has to take Tulsi Patra with him to offer worship to Vishnu. Tulsi Patra is placed in the Vishnu Puja bowl during the Puja act. 

Routine acts related to Yogeshwara Dwadashi

Fast is the prominent act performed on this Dwadashi in honor of Vishnu. The Puja act is also arranged in Vishnu temples, and during this act, Dwadashi Parayanam is recited in Vishnu’s honor. Coconut and Dates are divided among Puja performers after celebrating all celebrations related to this festival. Lamps are lighted to get light from Vishnu and knowledge for children by women. In addition, Tulsi Ashtotttaram is also recited by women who are married for Vishnu’s wealth. After all ritual works, people move to their homes from the Vishnu temple and break Yogeshwara fast with Satvik food or Bhoog.
